Calendar Bug Fix
// Fixed a 500 error that occurred when you had a spanning start and end date using the Real Life dates, but no in-game dates selected.
-
1.10.0.2 February 10, 2023
Hotfixes
// Fixed a 500 error that occurred if you turned "Recurring" to "Yes" on a Development without setting a Calendar start date.
// Fixed a 500 error that occurred when you transferred an entire container from an Encounter's Loot screen. The container still transferred, but it tried to redirect to the wrong page.
// We are working on updating our documentation, and have made it through the first 5-6 sections. Thank you for your patience with this! Do you find the documentation useful? Unneeded? Is there something else you would rather see for help in using Chronica? We'd love to hear over on our Discord! -

Calendar Hotfixes
// Fixed a 500 error screen bug on the Calendars that occurred if you turned on Overflow Weekdays before any weekdays were added.
// Temporarily disabled "day" and "week" options on the Calendar Recurring Type dropdown until we can locate the cause of them not displaying properly. -

Custom Calendars & Developments Tracking is FINALLY here!
// !! This is a very large patch, we absolutely appreciate your patience while we sort of any bugs you may discover with the calendar, but we really did a lot of due diligence to test it for you!
// NEW: Custom Campaign Calendars. (Available on ALL tiers!) Create customized calendars for your game settings to track dates pertaining to your specific world.
// NEW: Campaign Developments. (Available on ALL tiers!) Developments go hand-in-hand with the calendar, or they can be used on their own, to track all of the development events of your campaigns from sessions, character birthdays, holidays, wars, travel periods... literally anything. Developments currently hook up to Characters, Places, and Quests, and any of those connected will have the developments appear on their profiles in a tiny timeline. Tracking has never been prettier and more fun to look at!
// Added a BOLDER bold italic text. When text was both bold and italic, you could hardly tell, and it was silly.
// Added the Place icon (if it has one) to the small cards on the main Places page.
// Swept through the **Blacklight theme** with a comb, cleaned it up, fixed a bunch of display issues and made tweaks for easier theme maintenance. The Nebula theme is on our list next.
// Fixed a bug where entities with custom checkbox counters would not show the stat boxes.
// Clarified what happens on the Confirm window when you remove a Player from your campaign.
// Added more clarified text to the Admins list for GMs when editing a Player's settings. -
1.9.6.1 January 20, 2023
Adventure Notes Hotfix
// Fixed a 500 error that occurred if you had no folders created, and tried to access the Manage Folders page.
-
1.9.6 January 20, 2023
Adventure Journal Updates
// Increased the Kinship image render size to 500x500 to allow for crisper uploaded images.
// Adventure Journal got a sweep of changes which will better compliment the Developments feature when that becomes public. First and foremost, Adventure Journal and Journal Posts have been renamed to better fit what they are used for: Adventure Notes! The Adventure Journal is one of our very original features, and we've noticed that it was much more often used for notes and general wiki-style info, so we are shifting the feature further in that direction. It can still be used for session recaps and character journal entries, but our upcoming Developments feature is specifically made to track those sort of timeline events as well.
// Renamed the "Public Folders" and "My Folders" within Adventure Notes to "Global Folders" and "Personal Folders" respectively, to clarify their use.
// You can now nest your Adventure Notes to increase organization and keep related content in groups. This is in addition to folders. Any nested notes will automatically take the parent folder.
// The layout for the Adventure Notes has shifted to put the folders on the left. While it may take a moment to get used to, we felt it was more intuitive to have folder navigation on the left side.
// Adventure Notes no longer delete when a player is removed from the campaign. This is to avoid any lost info or notes. The author will simply be removed.
// Renamed the Journal Post Archive to "All Published Adventure Notes", because it was really a list of all visible notes, and not quite an archive.
// Added ability to Pin notes with a "Pinned?" toggle in the edit form. These will display at the top of folders and the main index page. When viewing Folder contents however, if the pinned post is nested, it will remain in the nest.
// Added an "Unsorted Adventure Notes" page for quick access any notes that are not contained within a folder.
// Added "Edit" buttons to the folder and table views on Adventure Notes for a slightly quicker jump to that edit screen.
// Added some additional verbiage on the Adventure Notes forms to clarify visibility on notes. -
1.9.5 January 14, 2023
Few minor tweaks and pushing more Calendar updates!
// Adjusted Places card view boxes to not display Encounters count if the count was 0, for campaigns that do not use encounters and want a slightly cleaner card.
// Made Journal titles clickable from the index.
// Added seasons and season markers to custom calendars on production (available on our beta-feature testing campaigns)
// Added developments timelines on Quests, Places, and Character profiles, showing latest 5-10 developments applying to that object (available on our beta-feature testing campaigns)
// A couple small back-end updates for security and maintenance -
1.9.4 January 03, 2023
Security Updates & Calendar Bugs
// Security updates on the back-end, whoop!
// Fixed a bug with recurring monthly and daily events on the custom calendars. This feature is currently only available to our tester campaigns, but is on production and launching soon.
// Updated Developments form to streamline usability. This feature is currently only available to our tester campaigns, but is on production and launching soon.
// Fixed a minor display error on the currency admin if users were looking to use Electrum. -
1.9.3 October 31, 2022
Website Updates and Private Characters
// We have removed the First and Last name from our join forms, as we felt we do not need to collect this information, and will be removing it from our system. We've also moved username into the sign-up, versus changing your username after signing up.
// Fixed GM view on Regional Maps to correctly show colored tiles while keeping them hidden on Player view.
// Fixed a bug that was hiding Characters marked secret or Connections marked secret on Kinship Connections tabs.
// Fixed a bug that was preventing containers from being marked Private from the Order Containers modal in shops.
// Added a "Private" setting to Player Characters. Previously, marking a Player Character as secret, still allowed the owner to see that character. We realized this was confusing, as in every other setting, the "Secret" option hid the object entirely from players. Now you can mark Private for just the owner, or Secret for fully hidden. Any Player Characters currently marked secret were swapped to the new Private setting, which has the same effect.
// Hid top bar from printing as requested to help with issues of it covering text.
// Added the Underline button back to our editors, as it snuck out somewhere. -
1.9.2.2 September 19, 2022
Additional Hotfixes
// Fixed a bug where colors were showing on Map Tiles marked secret, when it should be only a plain tile with no markings.
// Fixed a bug that was displaying secret Maps if they were within a folder. Note, the maps were NOT accessible, but they were showing. This is fixed.
// Adjusted the line-height on the character stats to fix small overlap.
// Fixed a bug causing NPCs or PCs with Profile Templates attached to break the search functionality. -
1.9.2.1 September 12, 2022
Hotfixes and Small Feature Addon
// Fixed a map tile bug where if you moved a tile with icons, the icons are reset to none.
// Fixed a bug where the first tracked value on encounter cards was displaying the current value instead of the total value.
// Fixed a bug where the entity stats were not displaying on the profile page.
// Fixed a bug where plots placed in a City District were not always pulling the info when clicked.
// Fixed a bug preventing the search feature in Campaign Shops from working.
// Fixed a bug that was displaying all campaign shops in every single folder.
// Added a small feature to our premium tiers allowing you to upload additional images to your character profiles in a small clickable gallery. This should help alleviate having to stuff those images into the description or notes boxes, or adding them as flair. -
1.9.2 September 12, 2022
Bug Fixes, UI Tweaks, User Requests and QoL
// General UI tweaks and style adjustments for usability across the application.
// Added "pink" as a selectable color across forms where color choice is an option.
// Removed the "Compact Codex Card Display" toggle on Player settings and integrated the setting into the toggle button on the NPC Codex. This means it will simply change the setting and remember your last selected choice instead.
// Tucked GM Secrets into collapsable divs across features for a cleaner layout and to avoid secrets being seen by non-gms when playing in person or sharing a screen, etc.
// Tidied up our forms, moving to the new layout we have been using in the upcoming Calendars / Developments feature. We feel the collapsible sections help some of the longer-scrolling forms and makes editing more efficient.
// Added "(Secret)" to denote secret characters in dropdowns where it was missing for Game Master's to more easily denote when making selections.
// Added a check on redirect from NPC Quick Edits or Character profiles to put you back in the same folder you were in.
// Added a Delete button to the multi-item selector in inventories! A highly requested feature, sorry this took so long, folks.
// Changed the Maps Description box (which was only visible by the DM or Cartographer on the Edit page) into GM Secrets. This was done just in case there was secret information on there, as we have finally added a button to VIEW this content from the main map page. We have also added a Notes field to Maps, allowing you to add additional notes or descriptions which **are** visible to your players from each map page.
// The image uploaded for your Places can now be clicked to see the full un-cropped version on the Place profiles.
// We made some UI updates to Encounters to show stats a bit cleaner with pill-shapes vs circles, to allow bigger numbers to display.
// Added folders to Regional and World maps!
// You can now MOVE map tile content from one tile to another. This is useful if you have armies perhaps, or shifting kingdom borders. Note, the tile you **move** to, is deleted to make room. This is noted clearly on the form.
// Campaign Shop folders can now be marked secret.
// Now if a shop front is connected to multiple plots in a district, the card displays all the plots, not just the first one.
// Updated the default "City" image to one that better matched Chronica's style, though this image can be replaced if you link your City to a Place.
// Redesigned City Stats admin, as the table took up a lot of real estate and provided very little info.
// Moved Districts description to a modal instead of a slide-out panel, similar to the new Maps description. You can find this now as a small blue button in the top bar, instead of the "Toggle Description" button.
// Fixed a bug that occasionally caused Characters that were owned by a Player removed from the campaign to not get moved properly into the NPC codex. The character was not deleted, but not easily accessible. This was quite a rare occurrence, but if you see a few old characters in your Unsorted NPC folder, that is those "missing" characters coming back. You may delete as needed.
// Fixed the color bar for NPCs marked "Hostile" or "Unfriendly". Hostile is back to red and Unfriendly is back to orange instead of transparent.
// Fixed container sorting in Item Library, as they were not properly being displayed in order.
// Fixed a currency bug that was causing some values to not round correctly, usually resulting in missing a copper (or lowest denomination) piece.
// Fixed Map Tiles from saving more than 3 selected icons, as only 3 could be displayed anyway.
// Fixed a rare bug where if a shop front was connected to multiple plots within a district, and the shop was later deleted, the district would throw a 500 error. -
1.9.1 August 10, 2022
Security updates and updates to future Calendars feature for production testing
// Security and back-end updates.
// Deployed a set of updates for our upcoming Campaign Calendars and Developments for testing on production. We may be looking to add a few additional tester campaigns, announcement will be in Discord when we are ready.
// Increased display resolution of Campaign Shop and Kinship Cache header images.
// Adjusted Campaign Shop and Kinship Cache descriptions to remain visible, even when closed, to the shop owner or GM, instead of being hidden behind a "closed" descriptor.
// Fixed some mobile display issues, more coming soon. -
1.9.0 June 23, 2022
Soft-deploy of Calendar code to test on production, Icon filter and minor style tweaks.
// We are soft-deploying the Calendars for testing on production, but they are currently only visible to a select few tester campaigns. Stay tuned!
// With this deploy we have updated our icon selector with a filter, as we plan on adding some new icons and it was getting unwieldy to find what you needed in the gallery. This should be a nice quality of life boost (we hope!)
// A few other minor style tweaks throughout the site including styled scrollbars as we get our Calendars and Developments feature squared away. -
1.8.33 April 23, 2022
New text editor and minor bug fixes.
// Removed "Edit Notes" button from Player profiles unless it is YOUR profile, since only you can edit your own notes. (Previously the DM could see this button even though it did nothing.) // We have a new rich text editor! This means we have new features such as: Undo, Redo, Fonts. We have more (and better selection) of colors, including a Color Picker. We have a better Tables button up in the main bar. You can now add an image from a URL or from your computer, or Emojis. We also have added a Horizontal Line and a Fullscreen. Text editors are such a core feature for content management and we have been hoping to find a replacement for some time. We hope this one is a good fit! // Links in the text editors no longer open in a new tab automatically, but can be set this way by editing the link. // Fixed editors from not loading in some of the modal windows.

1.8.32 March 10, 2022
Bug Fixes and Mobile Usability Adjustments
// Renamed Regional Maps to World & Region Maps on sidebar, as the maps can really be used for either.
// Fixed navigation panel on Encounters Battle screens from not expanding out when clicked.
// Fixed sidebar scrollbar spacing issue where it was covering content on some screens. If you are still having issues, please ping us.
// Fixed some mobile display issues.
// Fixed a bug that was causing Item Library folders to not be sortable.
// Updated City Staff display to be more user friendly, and also added ability to sort them.
// Moved the Delete, Edit, Copy to Library buttons on ITEM modals to a top toolbar instead. We felt this was cleaner and worked way better on mobile. The Copy to Item Library button has been turned blue from orange, and the icon was also changed. This is because we also introduced a Clone Item button which just makes an exact duplicate of that item in the same container and inventory. The Clone Item button is only visible to DMs. Sometimes you just need a simple quick copy of something to transfer somewhere!
// Fixed a few style bugs on Nebula and Blacklight theme.
// Fixed a bug where Shop connections to Characters were always showing "at", no matter which connector word you selected.
// Needed security updates to the server and backend. -
1.8.31 February 13, 2022
Bug Fix: Character Stat Cloning
// Fixed a bug that was causing character stat types within folders to not clone to new campaigns, and instead show those cloned stats on the original campaign. The bug has been fixed to show the cloned stats on the appropriate campaign, but the Stat Folders are still not copying over. We are looking into why this is, but any "duplicate" or "no permissions" issues you have been experiencing with your stats should be resolved in the meantime.

1.8.30 October 20, 2021
Backend updates

// Made some updates to the backend and payment system, and are continuing to do so to increase speed and security.
// Made some CSS tweaks to rich text editor boxes. -
1.8.29 September 03, 2021
Character Stats Hotfix
// Fixed a bug that was causing some character stats not to display properly on character profiles.
// Added the stat clone button back in that was lost during the UI redesign. -
1.8.28 August 23, 2021
Hotfixes
// Fixed a bug that was causing a 500 error on your Item Library page if you did not yet have an Item Library created for that campaign.
// Fixed a display bug on the kinship rankings page if you had an owner that was also added as another rank within the same kinship.
